Club Phoenix aims to provide a monthly space all people living with HIV/AIDS to get together regardless of gender or sexual orientation.
Often upon diagnosis of being HIV positive, people can sometimes find it hard to have real purpose or meaning. A lot of things can change lives and it is often lonely and isolating and sometimes the uncertainness can be quite debilitating. Even those who have been lived with HIV for a long period the sense of isolation can often be a problem.
Body Positive House in Auckland will be open from 6-9pm on the first Wednesday of each month (so you are more than welcome to drop in).
Each month will include a different movie screening, as well as a selection of yummy pizza's, with hot/cold non-alcoholic beverages provided. Come and share your thoughts, experiences and sense of humour or just come in for a social chat in this relaxed and friendly environment.
