Plain Language

A new education series which is designed specifically for the community. We will bring together top professionals and community experts to discuss the current trends in HIV that are of interest to you. Everything will be presented in plain language with a limit on the number of acronyms and charts that are used. This is not your average clinical presentation – it will be something you can understand and learn from.

No Jargon

Each session will consist of a formal presentation (for about 20 minutes), which we will record so others can watch it online later, followed by a discussion component. We encourage you take this opportunity to ask those questions you haven’t had the time or the comfort to ask anywhere else. There is no judgement – just good discussion and hopefully some answers.

Who Can Attend?

The target audience is people living with HIV, but friends, family, caregivers, supporters, community groups etc. are all also encouraged to attend and learn with us as well. The education series is free of charge and refreshments will be provided during each session.

Easy To Understand

The discussions are designed to be frank and factual and there will be mention of sex. It is the main way that HIV is transmitted after all!
